Group Coaching journeys

i•dive Group Coaching is a journey that brings together people with similar roles or challenges to work on key skills and growth goals.

Through coach-guided exchange, participants share experiences, reflect on behaviors and experiment with new ways of approaching work situations. The group becomes a space of shared learning, where different perspectives generate awareness and new solutions.

The sessions are integrated with the i•dive digital environment, which maintains focus between one meeting and the next and supports application in everyday work.

Who i•dive group coaching is for

Group Coaching is designed to support groups of people who share similar moments of professional development within the organization.

It is particularly suited to:

Managers and team leaders

To exchange views on leadership challenges, improve people management and develop new approaches to communication, delegation and feedback.

Talent and future leader

To support transitions of responsibility and foster leadership development through exchange with peers facing similar challenges.

Professionals and specialists

To strengthen transversal skills such as communication, collaboration, priority management and the ability to work effectively in organizational contexts.

The benefits of Group Coaching

Group coaching generates concrete benefits for both participants and the organization. On the one hand, it offers people a structured space to pause, reflect and face complex professional situations with greater clarity. On the other, it makes exchange between colleagues facing similar challenges more effective, fostering mutual learning, cross-pollination of ideas and better-quality decisions.

Among the most significant benefits are greater professional awareness, improved communication and collaboration, a stronger ability to read organizational contexts and a faster translation of learning into observable behaviors in everyday work.

What the journey includes

The Group Coaching journey is designed together with the company to guide participants through a concrete, shared development process.

The journey includes:

01

Initial context analysis with HR

A moment of exchange to understand goals, development needs and the participants’ characteristics, in order to design the most suitable journey.

02

Group kick-off meeting

A first moment to define goals and ways of working, and to create the conditions of trust needed for exchange between participants.

03

Group Coaching sessions

Coach-led meetings in which participants work on real cases, share experiences and develop new ways of facing professional challenges.

04

Check-ins with HR or project sponsors

To monitor the journey’s progress and maintain alignment with organizational goals.

05

Access to the i•dive platform

During the journey, the group uses the platform to deepen the work and give it continuity. At the end, it accesses i•dive and can continue with e-coaching to consolidate learning and behaviors over time.

Our Group Coaching method

In group coaching, the i•dive method leverages peer learning: people with similar challenges work together on real situations.

The exchange between different perspectives broadens understanding and encourages new ways of acting.

The literature shows that structured exchange activates reflective learning (Cox, Bachkirova & Clutterbuck, 2014), in line with Nonaka and Takeuchi’s model, in which knowledge arises from the integration of experience and collective reflection (1995).

i•dive team of coaches

In Group Coaching, value arises from peer exchange: the participants’ experience becomes a resource for mutual learning, while the coach guides the process, facilitating reflection, listening and the development of new perspectives.

Thanks to their experience working with organizations, i•dive coaches facilitate group dynamics that make exchange concrete and useful for everyday work.

Which target groups do you have experience with in Group Coaching journeys?

Group Coaching is particularly effective when people facing similar professional challenges can exchange views and learn together.
We have developed journeys with a range of organizational target groups, including:

  • Talent and people in a new role
To support transitions of responsibility and foster the development of emerging leadership.
  • Young professionals
To work on skills that are often under-developed at the start of a career, such as upward communication, the ability to engage with managers and to bring ideas into discussions with more senior colleagues.
  • Managers and team leaders
To work on leadership, delegation, feedback and the management of organizational dynamics.
  • Journeys dedicated to women's leadership
To create spaces for peer exchange and strengthen confidence and professional identity in leadership roles.
What is the difference between Group Coaching and Team Coaching?

Group Coaching involves people who are not necessarily part of the same team, but who share similar professional challenges. The group becomes a space for peer exchange that fosters individual learning and development.
In Team Coaching, on the other hand, the work is centered on a real team and how it functions as a system: shared goals, relationships, decision-making processes, collaboration and ways of operating.

What are the goals of group coaching?

Goals include improving communication and listening, developing leadership, the ability to give and receive feedback, strengthening collaboration, achieving greater clarity on priorities and reading organizational dynamics more consciously.
Peer exchange makes this approach particularly effective in moments of role transition, professional growth or change, when observing similar situations from different perspectives helps build more solid responses that can be transferred into everyday work.

How does Group Coaching differ from training?

Training is primarily aimed at transferring content, models and tools that help people perform a role better or acquire new skills. Group Coaching, on the other hand, works above all on personal elaboration and concrete application in the work context.

In coaching, the coach does not bring ready-made solutions, but facilitates a process of reflection, exchange and experimentation that helps participants develop new behavioral strategies and make them sustainable over time.

This is why Group Coaching is particularly valuable when the goal is not only to learn something new, but to translate that learning into more effective behaviors, decisions and ways of relating.

Is it possible to follow a Group Coaching journey online with a digital platform?

Yes. i•dive Group Coaching journeys can take place online or in person and are integrated with the i•dive digital platform, which helps participants maintain continuity between one session and the next. In the online space, people can discuss professional situations, share reflections, access in-depth content and continue the work started with the coach.
More than a standard course to sign up for independently, i•dive Group Coaching is a journey designed in partnership with the organization, based on development goals, the participants' characteristics and the company context.
